Happy Easter

The big girls were awake at the break of dawn and had to wait for the little ones to wake up to find their Easter baskets.  Gaby couldn't find hers for a long time.  It was a nice slow morning.  Then we went to Dave & Holly's house for dinner.  Sean and Rachel's families were also there.  It was nice.  The kids were playing so the adults ate without kids.  We all got to talk together and not shout over the kids or fight them to eat.  Then the kids came up to eat and then it was their turn.  We stayed for a long while and came home and went to bed. 

 

Swinging

We went over to help Sean and Erika move into their new house.  So I kept all the kids at the old house and let them play.  These two loved swinging like this.  The laughed and giggled SO much!

Time Out

Wilton Decorating Course 1

I have been wanting to take the Wilton cake decorating courses for years.  I finally took it this month.  It was every Wednesday evening for 2 hours.  I absolutely loved it!  There are three more courses they offer that I will be taking.  I can't wait!!!!  I forgot to take a photo of my first class' project, decorated cookies.  The second class was the cupcake cake, third cake were the cupcakes, and my final project was the Easter cake.  Which everything that could go wrong did, it was not a very successful night, but it looks ok, not really like anything I planned it looking.  But at least I'm learning and I am enjoying it thoroughly!

Little Boy

Mateo has to look out the window after he gets dressed every day.  I turned around to look at him and this is what I see.  He looks SO big.  He's a little boy now not a baby any more. 

My Bench

I bought this bench at a yard sale two years ago.  It was worn and tired looking, so I made it new again.  I re-stained the wood to match the rest of our inside furniture and re-upholstered the seat with a fun chevron pattern in the blue that we have accented through the house as well.  I love how it turned out!!!!!!!  Soy tan buena!

My Boy

I love this silly little boy so much.  Here are just some random cute photos....eating and talking on the phone.

Diaper Clutches

My neighbor made me a diaper clutch when Mateo was born.  I altered her pattern and made these ones.  I love how they turned out.  The other day I made the pok-a-dot one for a family that just had a baby that I took dinner too.  I like how it turned out but I tweaked it and the other one is better and I like that one best.  I have one more tweaking and it will be perfect.  So....chances are if you have a baby, you'll get one of these! 

Bath Time

Mateo went through a two month period of absolutely disliking baths.  He is finally over that and is having a ton of fun with Lili.  She let him splash her and they laugh so hard.  It is fun watching them have so much fun!

Bailey

Bailey is this beautiful horse that is one of our neighbor's.  Her pasture is at the top of the church's street.  This night Brother Sellenite came to feed her while we were there and he let the kids feed her some hay.  They loved it.  He said they can ride her in the summer.....they are very excited!

Mateo

He was being so silly and having fun.  Shortly after this fell off the step and landed on his nose, which was all scrapped up, poor thing.

Big Boy Seat

Mateo is out of the infant seat now.  He gets to sit forward facing now.  This was his first time and he absolutely loved it!  He is getting too big too fast!

Outside

It's finally been warm enough to play outside.  Mateo absolutely loves being outside.  He loves the fact that the kids take him and let him ride on their wiggle cars or in the red car.  He loves anything that has a wheel that he can turn.  It is hilarious watching him.  He gets so excited! 
Then there is Lili.  Little miss Lili, silly Lili.  She LOVES her new bike.  She is hardly ever sitting on it, she stands up and pedals most of the time, like a big kid, she says.

Cousins

Colbie and Mateo love being around each other.  Same with Cooper and Lili, they just love being together.    It is really cute.

Sleeping

We got back from our date and this is what we saw.  Mateo and Karkus sleeping.  It was so sweet.

Locks of Love

When Gaby got her hair cut, she wanted to donate it to Locks of Love, for a child who lost their own hair for some medical reason.  So we finally mailed it off today.  I don't know why it took so long but we finally did it.  So we go in and mail it and the postal worker that we went to was telling her how proud he was of Gaby for doing it and thanked her.  He told her it was people like her that he is alive today, he had cancer twice and people who donated things helped him get through his cancer, just like Gaby was donating her hair for a child that was in need of hair.  He got all teary-eyed and thanked her again, I was all teary-eyed and couldn't talk.  Then everyone in the post office started clapping for Gaby and saying good job.  It was a really neat experience.
