We woke up and packed up as today is our last day of our trip. We went to the local farmers market. I love little local farmers markets! They have always been intriguing to me. We ended up buying some fudge and tamales! haha They both were delicious!
We drove to Crater Lake. The roads have just recently been open on the one side of the park so we were in luck! I cannot believe how beautiful it was. The blue is such a beautiful blue. Half the lake was still frozen so you could see the ice floating around on it. Wizard Island, the island in the lake was still closed and most of the trails were still closed due to still being covered with snow or winter debre that they haven't been able to get to yet.
We went into a few of the visitors centers they have and looked around, got our souvenirs and got to watch a documentry video about Crater Lake. WOW! Just so amazing. This water is the most clean pure water on the planet.
We said our goodbyes to Steph, Zach and baby Amelia. They went home one way and we went home another way. We were going to stop half way home, then we were going to stop in Boise somewhere....well, we ended up driving the entire way home. We left Crater Lake about 3:00pm and got home about 3:00am. That was stupid driving so far so late being so tired but thankfully we made it home safely. We left everything in the car and crashed into our bed.
What an amazing trip we had! I think the only thing that we didn't accomplish on our list was the glass blowing class. We will most definitely be doing that next time for sure.
What beautiful country we have just driven through for the past 9 days. Truly, it felt like Heaven on earth. I want to do it over and over again. Maybe not all 9 lighhouses or all the hikes or parks we went to but we can go often and do some at a time. I think my life long love and desire to visit Oregon and Washington just intensified....watch out Quique!
The closeness I feel to God when we are in such stunning beauty of the earth is almost as much as I feel close to Him in the Temple. I feel so beyond blessed to have fulfilled a trip of my dreams and a life long goal. I am sad to see it come to a close. It was magestic. It was magical. It was with my best friend and I wouldn't have wanted to do this with anyone else. Thank you Love for loving me, supporting me and my crazy and loving me just the same. You are my world and I love you more than I can ever express! Thank you for giving me these beautiful hallowed memories that I will cherish forever!!!!

Day 8- Hiking in the wilderness
Today was a super low key day, YAY! We woke up and had a slow to start the day. Once we did get moving, we drove a lot into the lush forests. We stopped and walked along a pretty bridge. Then we hiked two different trails to two different waterfalls. They were so so beautiful. I can't get over the different greens that are here. Still stunning!
After hiking we stopped at a different pub for late lunch, early dinner. Zach is very much into pubs and their own draft of beer. I've come to find out that the pubs have great food as well.
We went back to their house and rested and chatted for a while again before going to bed. They just have been living in their home for a week or so now. They moved back to Oregon about a year ago and their house was just finished being built. It was so awsome seeing them and getting to spend some time with them.
