State Lines

So on our way home we decided to finally stop at each state sign and take a photo, so we did.  The kids thought it was pretty cool too.  Our hotel was on old route 66.  We came out of the parking lot and saw all the buttes and they really did look like the ones on the movie Cars. hahahaha

Picking Up the Girls

We left this morning to pick up the girls in New Mexico.  We left around 7:00am and got there around 5:45pm.  It was a nice drive and it seemed to have gone super fast.  The long part was just waiting for the girls to arrive once we got to the hotel.  We were there for about 1 1/2 hours before they got there.  We just weren't sure how long it took them to get through the border.  It was great to have them back.  We all ate some food we had brought and then went swimming.  The kids had such a blast in the pool.  I can't believe how much they've grown in 3 short weeks.

Our Garden

We were out weeding our garden tonight.  It was pretty full of weeds, so full we didn't even see this huge zucchini growing.  Lili was super excited our garden gave us a vegetable.

Church Cannery

We went to the church cannery (the wet pack one) tonight for our date and to fulfill our stake assignment.  We were sorting green beans.  It brought me back to my potato factory days in Idaho when I was 18.  It also reminded me of the I Love Lucy show when she is at the chocolate factory and she is shoving chocolates in her mouth and down her shirt.  So, we thought it would be from 7:30-10/10:30pm.  Well, we got home at 1:00am.  We sorted green beans for 4.5 hours.  WOW!!!!  It was fun and a really cool experience though.

Tiger

Papi forgot his phone at home today, so I took the opportunity to take lots of photos.  The kids love to ride this Tiger ride at Wal-Mart.  I just love the pure joy and happiness in their faces.

Lili & Mommy Dates

Lili and I have gone on a date 2 times since the big girls have been gone.  It is so sweet to see her face when I ask her if she wants to go on a date with me.  I did take photos but I lost my phone (with all the photos from our trip too).  Our first date we went to lunch and then a movie- Madagascar 3.  She was so into it like she hasn't seen it a thousand times already!  After we were walking back to the cow and she said, "Mommy, I like horse(your) date wish(with) me.  I love you!"
Our second date we went to lunch again and then we went to the new splash pad here in Kaysville.  It's a little free water park.  She loved it!  There were so many big kids there that were running her over that she was done in about 30 minutes.  She did thank me for our date and for taking her to the splash pad.  She is the sweetest little thing.  I love you my mama!

ps, I forgot I had Papi's phone for the splash pad date, so here are those photos.

Coming Home- Day 3

We all were waiting for Mateo to wake up.  I couldn't believe it.  He woke up at 10:15am.  I was shocked.  That poor baby was exhausted.  He woke up and then left for home.  Poor thing didn't even get to run around much.  He was really sad leaving his Abueltio.  He just loves him so much.  It is different with him than any one else.  He just glows when he has his Abuelito.  They have a very special bond.  We took our time coming home and it was a nice trip.  We got out a lot to let the kids have a break from their car seats.  I am so grateful for our children and especially how well they travel.  It was harder to say bye to the big girls than I thought it would be but they are going to have so many wonderful experiences and memories that it is worth it.
