Thal Camping-Day 1- Moab

We (Dave's family, Sean's family, our family, Pap Pap, Mark, Katie, & Jake) went to Moab this year for our Thal Family camping trip.  We all went down together.  We didn't plan it that way but it ended up being that.  Which was pretty fun.  When a cousin had to pee or got sick, it was a good break for everyone to get out and stretch legs.
We got down to the KOA campground in Moab, set up camp and it started pouring down rain.  At least we had finished putting up the tents so we had somewhere to stand or some were in their vehicles.  We all decided to go buy rain gear, somehow we got separated as a big group.
Dave's family and ours found a giant park to go play at.  We were there for a long time.  It sprinkled on and off while we were there.  It was so much fun.  We all, not just the kids, but all of us had such a blast.
We met up with everyone else to go on a short dusk hike to see the 'Courthouse Wash Rock Art'. That was fun.  All the cousins helping each other climb the slick sandstone.  It was fun.  We got down when it was too dark though and nobody had flashlights....ooops.  Thank goodness for cell phone flash lights though.  We stopped at Wendy's on the way back for ice cream.  Yummy!

Pap Pa's Here

Pap Pap got here today.  YAY!!!  We left school to go straight to the airport to pick him up.  So excited to spend time with you Pa!!

Last Day of School

Today is the last day of school and last day of school at Burton Elementary.  It sure is bitter sweet.  After we moved to our new house, we just let the girls finish the year at Burton because we didn't want to move them.  Also, Isabel had Mrs. Smith, who is the best teacher any kid can have.  Every child needs to have a teacher like her at least once but hopefully all the time.  She is by far the best teacher our kids have ever had!  She is everything a teacher should be.  Thank you Mrs. Smith for not just teaching our girls academically but instilling in them the confidence and the love a teacher has for their students.  We love you and will definitely miss you!
I went over early to take photos of the girls and their friends that they'll miss so much.  Like I said, very bitter sweet!

Hahaha

Hahahaha, Mateo let me put hair ties in his hair.  He didn't believe me that it was long enough and he needed a hair cut.  He loved it but hated it at the same time.  hahahahahahaha

Yard Work

We started to tame the very over grown yard today.  The yard hasn't been maintained in at least 4-5 years, so everything is extremely over grown.  This is going to take us at least 2 years to get it under control.  Here we go....some before and afters.
