They woke up and found the Easter Bunny did bring them baskets and even gave them an Easter egg hunt in our front yard (thanks to our friends who knew the Easter bunny wasn't coming to our house). So they said he wasn't happy that we asked him not to come but gave them an even bigger Easter than normal. So they got a lot of candy in the end.
After that we all got ready and we sat down and watched some Easter clips on the church's website. It really hit Isabel, she was crying. We talked about it and she realized that she had felt the Holy Ghost and she knew that what Jesus did was a special gift to us all.
We also gave the girls an Easter egg with one of each color of jelly beans, that had a poem to go along with it, "The Jelly Bean Prayer".
After church we had a nice dinner at Dave & Holly's and watched "Reflections of Christ", the movie we got the girls. It was a nice day and best of all it was all about the resurrection of our Savior and the girls truly understood that.
The night before they asked for curlers, even Lili.
During the night Lili pulled them out and she didn't want to
wake up. She kept saying no and covering her face. hahaha
They found the stuff outside.
Easter egg hunt.
They had a lot of fun doing it, thanks to the Cox family.
Lili had to carry the basket, of course.
The outside Easter egg hunt goodies.
The inside Easter goodies.
Ready for church.
The Jelly Bean Prayer
Red is for the blood He gave,
Green is for the grass He made.
Yellow is for the sun so bright,
Orange is for the edge of the night.
Black is for the sins we made,
White is for the grace He gave.
Purple is for His hour of sorrow,
Pink is for our new tomorrow.
An egg full of jelly beans, colorful and sweet,
is a prayer, is a promise, is a special treat.
May the joy of Christ's Resurrection fill
your heart and bless your life.
