Bahamas Trip- Day 7

Happy 33rd Birthday my Poppet!!!
We woke up and made a reservation for a open house tour of the Ft. Lauderdale Temple.  It is right off the highway.  It is absolutely beautiful.  It has lots of southern Florida themes throughout the decor and temple itself.  The carpentry was absolutely beautiful.  The spirit was so strong.  It really hit me-us, how important eternal families are and how grateful I am that we have the blessing of being an eternal family!  It really hit home how we need to make more effort and sacrifices to attend the temple monthly and stop making excuses and things get in the way from goin, even though they are good things happening, we need to make the temple a priority.  We need those blessings of the temple and set the example for our kids so they know how important it is, so they will always be striving to go there and be worthy to go.  The serenity of being there was wonderful.
After we drove to Las Olas to check it out.  It was pretty cool.  We found out where the locals go and went to have lunch at the O-B House.  It was delicious.  We were leaving and a mama duck was crossing the road with her babies.  It was pretty cool.
Then we drove back down to Miami and went to Key Biscane.  They had a real working lighthouse.....that happened to be closed for renovations.  hahaha  What luck right?!  The lighthouse was so pretty.  We walked around taking lots of photos and some silly ones too.  We saw hundreds of tiny lizards.  It was so freaky.  We found a huge lizard on the side of the inn keepers house too.  We also saw pelicans diving in the ocean and eating some fish.  That was cool too.
We got stuck in rush hour traffic so it took a while to get back to Florida City.  We went and had dinner at the super yummy gas station Mexican place.  Went back to the hotel and watched more TV and packed so we can leave early.  It's been nice relaxing day.
