Papi took us to his old house, the one that Abuelito built and was telling us stories, so we took a ton of photos of the house and basketball court where he played, the chapel he was baptized in with the cold water, little tienditas, little eating spots. It was cool to go all around.
Tio Angel, Tia Odette, Vanessa, Santiago and Eric caught up to us for lunch at Torta's Parras. Then we went back to the house to wait for everyone to get there so we could go over to the park that has a ton of juegos that Abuelita's dad made. There are a ton! The park is closed because the river rose so high this past year, it took some juegos away and made the others unsafe to play on a lot. However, Abuelita talked to the care taker and told him her father built it all and he let us in so the kids could play a bit and we could get photos. It was a ton of fun!!!!! The sun was setting and it was so beautiful.
Then all of a sudden, Quique grabbed my hand and was dragging me to the car. We left for our date to make it to the overlook for the sunset, but we missed it. It was still beautiful. We just sat there talking about where we've come the past 12 years and it's been a roller coaster but it's been wonderful. After a while, we went back to town and we ate at several different spots, all where his favorite spots were to eat. However, after the second spot, I was so full, I couldn't eat any more. hahahaha So we just went around taking photos and telling more stories. Then we found the movie theater and went inside to see what was playing......yep, only one movie at a time. It was the 3rd Night at the Museum movie. It was hilarious in Spanish and I can't wait to see how much funnier it is in English when I understand everything. We got home and all the girls had their fingernails painted.....for the first time ever. They all loved it!!!!!
