Day 4- Christmas Eve

Mami and I got up early to go do a lot of shopping for this evening.  In Quique's family, Chirstmas Eve is the big celebration.  They have a big fancy dinner and a nice elegant evening.  I really like how they celebrate.  Anywho, we left before anyone else was awake so then we went back to pick up Odette when she was ready.  It was super nice being out together, going from store to store and having fun.  We were gone a while too.
While we were gone, Tio Angel, Santiago, Mateo and Quique had a huge wrestling match.  They had so much fun and wrestled for a really long time.  They even had teams and would help each other get the other team.  The photos and stories were really cute.  Lots of fun!
When we returned, we all went to the dulceria....mmmmmmm  We spent about $60 in delicious Mexican candies.  We just got the ones we can't get here at the latin markets.  Abuelito really wanted to take the kids there to buy them any candy they wanted.
We got back and dinner was going and being cooked.  I was about to start helping but then Quique said we had to go get gas in the tank to heat kids bedroom, so we were off and Papi came with us.  We were gone for what seemed like forever but I think it was only 1 1/2 hours.  The line for the gas was super long.  So Papi and I stayed in the van talking while Quique was in the line.  It was wonderful, I really enjoyed our conversation!  I think I did so much because I understood 95% of it.  We ran to get a few things for dinner that mommy called and asked us to pick up then we went back to get Quique then got back home.
We all got ready for dinner and it was 10:00pm when we started our little family home evening.  Angel had a beautiful little video presentation.  Then AnaLaura and her family reenacted the night Christ was born.  It was really pretty too.  After that we took family photos.  By the end of the photos we were having meltdowns because all the kids were starving and tired.  We started eating dinner at midnight.  Dinner was so yummy!  Mami and Odette did a great job preparing everything.  After dinner, the kids were dropping like flies after their bellies were full while all the adults were just sitting around the table talking.  Poor Lili even fell off of the chair in the living room after she fell asleep after dinner.
AnaLaura and her family left and we put all the kids in bed and the girls started wrapping and the boys were cleaning up.....except Papi.  Poor Papi fell asleep as soon as AnaLaura and her family left. He even came up and got in bed while I was still using the bed to wrap....hahahaha.  It was really funny.
After we finished wrapping and cleaning, we stayed up a bit longer just talking.  I was slap happy.  EVERYTHING was hilarious and I couldn't stop laughing....know why?  It was 5:00AM!!!!  What a wonderful day!
