BYU

We went down to BYU on Saturday to show the girls where Papi went to school and more importantly where the football stadium and basketball court was. They loved it. We walked all around the stadium, freezing by the way, then stopped at the cougar to take a photo. Then we took them up to the Marriott Center. There was a woman's basketball game going on so we had to go get tickets and then go in and look around. They were so ecstatic to get their own ticket. Lili didn't have enough hands for everything so she put her phone in her mouth to hold. She is so funny. We ran out of time to show them around more of the campus but we showed them where the temple was and the MTC. They were excited to know that is where I went for training to be a missionary. It was a nice family outing.

Gaby's 1/2 B-day

Today was Gaby's birthday celebration at school. They sang to her while sitting on this stool. Her hat lite up like real b-day candles and the yellow man sang and shook as it was singing to her. Then she passed out mini cupcakes for her treat. She loved being the center of attention.

Hogle Zoo

Today we went to the zoo-Lili's first time. Lili loved it. It was colder than I expected but good thing we went with Dave & Holly because Holly had extra stuff or I would have froze even more. We went at the kids pace looking at all the different animals. We were only there for about 2 hours because 1/3 of the zoo exhibits are under construction. Lili found this little animal that looks like a rabbit and a wort-hog that kept coming to see her, she loved it. It was at her level and she kept running from one end of the exhibit to the other because this animal followed her for a bit. We found a bald eagle, which is absolutely massive. I've never seen one so close before, Gaby will be sad she missed it, Marky Karky too. We were at the gorilla exhibit a long time, which made us warm up. A worker was putting food in the one gorilla 'home', then let the gorilla back in. It was enormous! He ate his food then came over to us, Isabel got down and backed up, and the gorilla looked right at Addie, she didn't flinch either. The orangutans were playing with a bed sheet and Lili liked them the best. I think because the little one was wresting with the older one and that is totally Lili. She loves wrestling Papi and Isabel. We had a nice time at the zoo even though we were popsicles most of the time!

Lili's Blanket

I finally made Lili a blanket. It's a lot bigger than I was going to make it. I originally was making a scrap snuggle blanket, but it turned into a regular size blanket that wraps around her. She loves it.

Tooth Fairy

The tooth fairy came to our house recently. Gaby finally lost her first tooth. She was beyond excited to say the least. She put her tooth in a baggy and put it under her pillow. The tooth fairy snuck in and took her tooth and left $1.00 under her pillow without her knowing. She was so shocked that she didn't see the tooth fairy. hahaha

Chuck e Cheese

We took the kids to Chuck e Cheese's on New Year's day, big mistake, it was very crowded, but the kids loved it. We went at their pace the whole time. They had such a fun time. It's so nice to get out and have so much fun like we did here.

Happy New Year

We all got back together for New Year's Eve at Dave & Holly's house. We had breakfast for dinner. Each family was in charge of a different breakfast item. I think that is going to be the tradition for now on. It was nice. While we were making the dinner, all the dad's and kids were blowing up the balloons. We ate in shifts because breakfast foods don't get done all at the same time. So the kids ate first then the adults. Which worked out great. The kids went back to playing while we were eating. Then after dinner we played games and talked, played more games and talked. Then it was time to pop all the balloons. We did it according to the east coast time zone. The kids went crazy popping all those balloons. Some of the kids were trying to sit on them to pop them, then Gaby ran and got forks for everyone and then they popped a lot faster. Shortly after that we came home and the kids went straight to bed. Too many late nights in a row for them, but they were worth it. Happy New Year!
