Our Little Chief

So today after a hard day of yard work... Papi wanted a treat and he asked Isabel for something “delicious, nutritious and that was going to make him grow” ......this is it! Fifteen minutes after he said something and after he was already laying down she shows up with this. She is so cute. "It's a face, 2 chocolate eyes, carrot whiskers, 2 chocolates sandwiched with peanut butter as his mouth. The tooth pick is his tongue sticking out and the peanut butter around  his mouth is his mess and a chocolate "mosquito bite" by his eye. Also a big glass of milk with ice cubes "just like Abuelito likes it." We were laughing so hard.

Southwest Yard

WOW!!!!  What a project this was.  The whole time we've lived here, this side of the yard has always been a project but after the storm last year it's really yucky. The kids never really like playing on this side so we fixed it.  It's been a long week, specially the last two days have been very crazy.  We found sod for a great price, so we went for it.  Monday night Enrique started the yard but only got part way when our friend's tiller lost a bolt and they couldn't use it anymore.  Oh, this all happened the last week of the month too, which is always crazy busy at his work so...  Friday was the next time the yard got worked on.  Unfortunately this meant the sod sat there dying for five days but Enrique says it will survive, we'll see. =) Enrique and Lili went to rent a tiller at Home Depot Friday afternoon while the rest of the kids and I were gathering all the debris out of the yard so Enrique could till when he returned.  We worked until 1:30am getting the yard ready.  Poor Enrique was exhausted, I've never seen him that over worked before.  But we had to start super early today because the tiller was due back at 9am.
He stayed and worked on the yard while I took Gaby to her soccer game with the rest of the kids.  We came home and Sean showed up to help, which was a super huge blessing!!!!  Enrique returned from the store and him and Sean were at it straight until 3pm.  The both are beyond exhausted!  Their bodies are not functioning properly. But the project is complete!  Thanks you guys for working so hard.  Sean, I really appreciate you helping so much!!

Apple Pie Filling

I'm a dork and I know it!  I am so giddy to find this apple peeler, corer, slicer little machine.  It is AWESOME!!!!  Probably the best $20 ever!  Really, it's that fun to use.  I told you, I'm a dork.  Any who, I went to Rachie's house (Holly's sister) and picked almost a Walmart bag full of apples off her apple tree.  Then came home and made apple pie filling.  Mmmmmmm, I can't wait to make a pie with them!  Thanks Rachie for the apples!

Naps

It's nap time, the kids are in bed sleeping......or so I thought.  I walked past Lili's room and this is exactly what I saw.  She's just chilling, NOT sleeping.  Then the baby wakes up like 10 minutes after he feel asleep and he was happy too.  So needless to say, no naps today.

Papi & His Boy

I laid down to feed the baby so he would go to sleep faster.  Once he was finished and sleeping, he rolled around until he found Papi.  Then he snuggled into his arm and held his pinkie.  It was the most precious thing ever, thus photos of it.

Soccer

Our Saturday mornings are full of soccer.  Gaby's games are first and then Isabel's games.  So it's kind of long for the little ones but they make do and still have fun.

Gaby loves being goalie.

She is really good at it too.

My sweet homey boy.  Isabel put his hat on this way & he left it there.

Go Isabel!

GOAL!

Gaby hamming it up.

My crazy little mama.

Just hanging out at Isabel's game on the tree swing.

Cold Stones

Sean and Erika are having a sleep over with all the cousins (minus Lili and Mateo).  So Dave & Holly were going to go on a date but we said lets go together and then play games at our house.  So we did.  We went to get ice cream with them at Cold Stones and Lili loved it!  I didn't love that she was in her pj's and no shoes but it is what it is.  Lili was so excited to be out by herself with all of us (Mateo too).  She ate that ice cream until her hearts was content (Papi helped of course).  Then we came back to the house and played some games.  It was a fun night.  I wonder how Sean and Erika are doing with 10 kids.......
