Bus Ride

Today was Isabel's first time to ride on a school bus...to the zoo for a field trip.  She was so excited!

My Sweet Boy

Mateo got a new suit and he looks so adorable.  He is such a rotten little sweet boy.  He has been wanting to wear his cowboy boots to church.

Mateo

Mateo sat in this chair for a long time while I was weeding our flower beds out front.  He just sat there watching all the kids walking home from school and waving at whom ever would look his way.  I love this little guy!

Horse Riding Lessons

Auntie Rachie is giving Isabel horse riding lessons.  She is beyond excited.  She is teaching Grace, her daughter at the same time.  Isabel really likes doing it with Grace.  She was sharing her hat with her because Grace really likes it too.
It's really neat too.  Isabel and Grace help groom the horse and get it ready to be ridden.  They each get a few turns, then put the saddle and gear away and groom the horse again then they are finished.  It's about a 2 hour lesson, which she thoroughly enjoys.

Gaby's Program

Gaby had her year end musical program this morning.  Then right after was the habitat fair.  Papi took a half a day in the morning and then went to work afterwards. I am so proud of Gaby, she did such a great job in her program and on her habitat.  Parents weren't supposed to help with the habitat, so she did it all herself.  She chose the mountain ecosystem with a blue mountain.....

Bathroom Open

This is what happens when the bathroom door is open and the potty lid is closed (thank goodness).  Mateo hides in the corner from me.  That little stinker!

Ahhh

Quique put up the kids photos on the wall yesterday and I put up the lettering.  I love it.  It makes my heart melt when I see our four amazing children up there.  Life really doesn't get much better than this!!!!!

 

Outside

We were playing outside after dinner until Papi got home.  Mateo can't get enough of outside play.  He wants to be outside all the time.  The girls are so good to him and playing with him.

Our Little Cowgirl

Isabel has been doing tons of commission chores so she can buy her cowgirl boots and hat.  So, she earned them.  We went to Cal Ranch so she could try them on.  The worker that helped us took us all around.  Trying on boots, hats, belts, petting chicks.....  She was super nice.  We went back today for Isabel to buy them.  She was so proud of herself.  I was so proud of her.  They cost a lot of money but she worked hard and saved for them.  Now she has cowgirl boots and a cowgirl hat to do her horse riding lessons (and chaps from Abuelito and Abuelita).

Karky's Phone

Mateo loves Karkus.  He is really good with him.  He was letting Mateo look at something on his phone that he obliviously thought was pretty cool.  Mateo already knows how to use his finger to slide the screens around.....

Rain

The girls had soccer games at the same time today.  So I kept the little two so we could be watching from the car.  We also had our friend's baby too.  Isabel ended up scoring 7 goals today (she's in the pink rain coat).  Papi was with Gaby and he said she did awesome at her game too.  Way to go girls.

The Park

We were just killing time while Gaby was at piano lessons.  There is a little park right down the street from her piano teacher's house.  Mateo loved it!!!!  There is a huge hill there too, the kids were log rolling down it.  It was hilarious.  I took a lot of videos of them doing it and Mateo too.

Commision Chores

The girls have regular chores that they are expected to do to help contribute to our family.  Then they have commission chores that they get paid for if they do them.  So I thought I should take some photos of them doing some commission chores.

Salsa Jalapeño

We ran out of Salsa Jalapeño!  I couldn't believe it.  So I had to hurry and make more.  I got 11 pints out of this batch.

KBULL 93

Today was the Utah earthquake drill at 10:15am.  We left our house about an hour before that to do our big grocery shop.  I turned on the radio and I heard them talking about the earthquake drill.  So I left it on.  I'm kind of a 'prepper' but not to the extreme.  Anywho, there was a woman talking about emergency supplies that you should have in a 72 hour kits (which I was literally going to buy today- I had my list and everything).  Then they said, caller 13 wins a 72 hour kit from Emergency Essentials.  They say the number, I pull over and call. I dialed the wrong number.  Then they say it again, so I pull back over (no one was behind me either time) and I dial.  Just beeping.  Dial again, again beeping.  The third time I dial it rings and rings and rings.  I was about to hang up and they say hello.  I ask what caller I was and they said 13.  I pull back over and start screaming.  I couldn't believe it!!!!  I actually won.  The kids were wondering what was going on and why is mom being so loud and crazy.  hahaha 
So I call Quique, he's in a meeting and I am SO loud on the phone he had to get out of the room,  I could hardly tell him I was so excited.  Really, what person is that excited to win a 72 hour kit?  Me fo show!  He was just laughing at me.  So we went down to pick up my prize after Isabel went to school.  Then we went to Papi's office to open it (it was close to his office).  The ladies he works with probably think I'm a lunatic now from being so excited for something that many people aren't excited about. hahaha  Oh well.   Thanks KBull 93 and Emergency Essentials.
