Copper Canyon

Copper Canyon is twice as deep as the Grand Canyon. There are 4 canyons deeper than the Grand Canyon. The one that is in these photos happens to be the 3rd deepest canyon and the only one you can see with out getting on a donkey to go do to the bottom, or walk to the bottom. This was so beautiful and breath-taking. It really makes you think about life and how huge the world is and you're just a tiny part of it.
There are a lot of tienditas, little stores, full of my favorite cositas, little trinkets. This first one is of the Tarahumara Indians selling the things they make. Then we went up to the top of the hill, there were fifty little tienditas along the way. At the top is where all the food vendors were. The train stops there too. Isabel made friends with the one Tarahumara girl and thought she could help her make the basket she is weaving.
I finally get a photo with a burro, donkey. We saw one on the side of the road in one of the little villages the previous week but didn't have time to take a photo. So this was the first one I saw then we found several more. We also saw wild burros, wild horses, and wild cows. It was really cool. I've never seen any wild horses before, burros or cows actually.

Elephant rock. One the way home from the Copper Canyon we stopped at this lake. Enrique and his family would come here and camp a lot. It was absolutely beautiful. Yes, there were Tarahumara Indians here too with their cool cositas.
