Yard Work

We were doing yard work tonight and poor Mateo is sick and had a high fever.  He wanted to be with us and not sitting on the porch away from us, so we got to work with Papi for a bit.

Stairs

Quique took off the yukie carpet today and put the nice new carpet down.  Why did we wait SO long to do it?  It is super nice!  Thanks love, you're the best.  I'm grateful that you are so hands on.  ;)

Lili's Soccer

Lili is extremely good at soccer.  She scores at least 5+ goals a game.  She loves it.  She is so proud of herself.  We do have to keep reminding her to let the other girls have a turn to score and she really works hard to help them score too.  She is such a good girl.

Isabel's Garden

Isabel has nice 2 baby watermelons growing in her garden.  She is so excited.

Lili's Garden

Lili loves being in her garden.  She is always so proud of it, she's always picking her cherry tomatoes and eating them whenever she wants.  She is also growing 2 watermelons, which she is over the moon about.  This was Lili's first year to have her own garden.  She planted watermelon, cherry tomatoes, peanuts,strawberries, orange, yellow, red and green bell peppers, broccoli, and cauliflower.

My Thing

Oh, I love this little thing SO much!  He is so happy, joyful, hilarious, and sweet a lot.  I see a light at the end of his terrible 2's.  Man they were pretty difficult and closing.  It's so close, he might actually survive!  :) 

Snake

The kids went next door and the neighbor kids found a garden snake......so Mateo and Gaby just jumped in and thought it was super cool to hold it.  YUK!!!!!

Canning 2014

I wasn't planning on canning much this year since we're moving soon.  I did anyway......some of our neighbors were selling corn on the cob, so I grabbed 4 or 5 dozen... so that little bittty bit of corn was all I got.  So much work for not much.  YIKES!
After going to the farm, I got a ton of salsa chilaca, stewed tomatoes, salsa verde and chile chilaca.  It took less than a week to get it all done.  With a few house showings in the midst of the mess. 
The following week some different neighbors gave us some apples and waaalaaa, apple pie filling.
So instead of packing empty jars, we filled them with food to move them.  :)
It was another fun, great canning week.  The kids enjoy helping and it was great fun.  We make it fun and they love learning how to do it too.

Awesome Simpsons

Our friend, Dan Simpson, stopped by and took the kids on a ride just after the ice cream truck stopped.  They had a great time.  Thanks Dan!  You rock!!!!

Karky Fun

Karky stopped by to visit and the kids got in a good dog piling on him.  They miss him a ton, so do I.  It was great spending time with him.  We love you Karky!
