Camping- Day 1

We left around 9am for camping.  It was only suppose to take about 3 1/2 hours but it took us close to 6 hours.  We were the first to leave and the last to arrive.  We made a stop in Heber at Walmart to pick up a few things, then I got us on the wrong highway, so we had to back track to get to the correct highway.  Then there was a terrible accident and we sat on the highway for an hour, then more potty breaks.  I was worse than the kids, they were fine and I was just too antsy...I was like get me out of here.   We finally arrived and put our tent, which by the way is a 4 man tent.  I thought it was a 6 man but no.  Oh no, what do we do?  Lucky for us, Sean brought a tent for Pap Pap and  the big girls slept in there with him and the little kids slept in our tent with us.

After getting the tents up, we went swimming.  It looked like it was going to storm super bad but it didn't while we were swimming.  We got out and went back to camp to eat.  I made tin foil dinners and Mark cooked them while we were swimming.  They turned out so yummie.  However, that is when it started raining.  I was in the van nursing the baby, there was such a beautiful double rainbow.

Then Dave's family, Mark and Pap Pap decided to go and get ice cream, while our family and Sean's stayed to make smores.  The rain slowed but then picked up again so then we got out kids ready for bed and then it started pouring down.  Three of the kids were sleeping but Lili was just too wound up to sleep.  She wrestled Papi for a bit then finally fell asleep.

We were laying down and just talking, all the while the baby kept stirring and waking up.  Poor thing was getting rained on.  Some how the tent was leaking right on his head.  He was soaked.  So we moved him.  Then Enrique got out and did something to the tent that stopped the water from coming in but he tripped over the other tent, it was so funny.  He came in and we realized Lili is in a massive puddle of water.  So we moved her and once I knew they were dry and sleeping well, I finally fell asleep too.  This night was worse than camping being pregnant.  I was just so worried the kids were wet or cold.  Fun memories is all I can say.....

Mateo sleeping while we set up camp, so no flies could get him.
