Fall Break- Day 1

Papi took off work during this year's fall break.  We gave the kids two options, go on a big trip to a Las Vegas resort for a five days or stay home and do lots of fun little things.  They chose to stay home and do lots of fun little things, so we did.

We started off by working, then fun.  Enrqiue rented a wood splitter from Home Depot for four hours to split all our wood.  I thought, oh good, he'll be done fast and it won't even take four hours then we could go do our fun stuff.  Yes, yes, my little naive mind!!!    Thank goodness Mark was around to help because there is no way I could have done it.  Those logs were massive.  Later in the evening the kids were playing with the neighbor kids and it was time to have them come help, so the neighbor kids decided to help as well.

I realized the time, just past 6pm.  YIKES!!!  The day was gone and all work.  Well, I grabbed pizza for dinner and then we were off to a movie.  We saw Ice Age:  Continental Divide.  It was pretty good.  The kids loved it.  More splitting tomorrow, I'm afraid!

All the wood we had from before the storm and after
our trees were blown down, a ton of wood!

Fascinating

The strength it had to go through the wood....

WOW....

Lili just waiting to help.

Ok, now the wood was 'little' enough she could help.

She is one tough little mama!
