Day 1- Casas Grandes

We went to church and then came home and the kids played outside for a while.  They love exploring Abuelito and Abuelita's new house.  They have a giant yard now and there is a little laundry house in the back too.  They love being here already!
After church, we ate, napped, and talked.  We drove over to the Academy where Papi went to school. He was telling us stories and it was pretty neat.  We also went on this very rickety bridge that bounces if you jump on it, so of course Papi and Abuelito were jumping on it.  Man, it was kinda scary!  The kids loved it though. Then went to take some Christmas treats to Abuelito and Abuelita's friends.  So we got to stay and visit with them and the kids had fun too.  While we were at JoAnn's house, Papi's basketball coach, Dave Brown, came caroling with others.  It was neat to meet him since I've heard so much about him.  It was also super  nice to be there while they were there caroling to JoAnn and her family and we just happened to be a part of it.  It was beautiful and that's what this season is all about....being with family and celebrating the birth of our Savior.  So yep, as you can guess, I got all choked up...but didn't let any tears fall.  I'm SO happy we get to be here for the holidays.  It is so nice being here, I love it!
